For 14-3/8" x 14-3/8" Wall Opening
Material: 16" X 16" and smaller: 16 gage door, 18 gage mounting frame. Over 16" X 16": 14 gage door, 16 gage mounting frame.
Door: Flush to frame - rounded safety corners.
Frame: One-piece outer frame welded to mounting frame.
Hinge: Continuous, concealed.
Latch: Stainless Steel screwdriver operated cam latch. Also available: cylinder lock and key, allen head cam latch, spanner head cam latch.

Steel: 5-stage iron phosphate preparation with prime coat of White alkyd baking enamel
Stainless Steel: Type 304 - #4 satin polish.

As shown. Works completely fine. Though I don't understand why Acudor has the screw turn clockwise to open and counterclockwise to close. That seems like an invitation to strip the screws.

Used this in my closet to access shut off valves I installed in a master bath renovation. Item is well built and sturdy. However I noticed some minor imperfections in the final paint job (globs on the perimeter)that would require some sanding and of course repainting if you intended to have this door in a highly visible location. For me it is not a concern since it will be behind hanging clothes.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good quality, white powdercoat finish.

Fit of the door and the locking mechanism is a bit tight, but I didn't expect a well-oiled mechanism for the price.

Note that it really requires studs to exist either on the left and right border, or the top/bottom - since otherwise there's no way to anchor the door in place.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    There are two listings for the 18x18 access door. Both appear to be stainless steal and have the same description. The price of one is $37 the other is $177. Can you tell me the difference between the two? I need an access door that will be used outdoors.
