  • Amtrol #90 Extrol Expansion Tank (14 Gallon Volume)

    Q:

Great site - You list the tank volume of 14 gallons with the max accepted volume as 11.3 gallons. Is the max volume the max amount of water it can hold? Having a slightly larger expansion tank on the furnace than needed has no down side - right? Thanks

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Installing an expansion tank that is too large has no downside other than the fact that you'd be paying more than you need to for the expansion tank. The 11.3 gallons is a measure of maximum water capacity.
