Description for Baseboard Heater Covers BB001-36

We can provide custom cut lengths. To obtain a custom cut baseboard heater cover, place an order for the larger size. (For example, if you want 6.5 ft, place an order for the 7 ft length). During the checkout process, please put a note in the "Special Instructions" box indicating the exact size that you want. If you need further assistance, or have questions, please feel free to contact a customer service representative at 1-888-757-4774.

NOTE: For Hydronic Baseboards

  • Made of 22 gauge perforate steel.
  • Features TWO separate layers of protection against rust: an electroplated galvanized coating over the carbon steel and an epoxy-based powder coat in semi-gloss white.
  • Designed to retrofit on to most existing baseboard heater covers.
  • Superior Airflow... Airflow is the critical factor in proper baseboard heating. We use a perforated steel screen that visually hides the originally installed heater cover while ensuring that the heating element receives proper airflow.
  • Child Safe... The dangers associated with hot finned tube heating elements are well known. Our child safe design doesn't allow for little fingers or small flammable toys to be placed inside the heater cover.
  • Simple to Install... It just doesn't get any easier. Only the non-permanent components of the existing heater cover are discarded. The back cover that is mechanically fastened to the wall stays in place.
Use this Retrofitting Guide to verify that your existing baseboard heaters will fit the one-size-fits-most baseboard heater cover replacements.

Comments about 5' DIY Baseboard Heater Cover:

As part of remodeling a small half-bath, I replaced an old, rusty cover. What an improvement in looks and function! The baseboard heater cover was easy to cut with a sabre saw with a hacksaw blade to exact length needed. The materials and installation performed exactly as shown in the website videos. Although the cover fit my old baseboard unit perfectly, it would be nice if a 1-inch taller size was also available for the "odd"-size baseboard.

In our bathroom remodel, one of the most impressive updates was the baseboard heater covers, and one of the most simple. It looks great and literally took less than 5 minutes to do. Almost brainless in its simplicity! Very modern-looking and seems quite sturdy and long-lasting.

Comments about 4' DIY Baseboard Heater Cover:

I had been eyeing these baseboard covers for quite some time before finally purchasing one. I, like most people I seem to know, hate the look of baseboard heaters and so have been looking for a more attractive solution since purchasing my home.
Finally the nasty, rusty, painted over one too many time baseboard heater in my bathroom finally annoyed me enough to purchase one to give these a try. Compared to other baseboard heater covers on the market they are priced very well. And though the look might not be for everyone I really like it - clean and modern.
I installed these covers in literally seconds, I don't think it could have been easier unless someone had come to do it for me. Pex had accidentally shipped me the incorrect cap - one quick phone call though and a replacement was on its way to me with no hassels.
The only problem is now I want to get these for every baseboard heater in my home! I am quite sure I will be back to purchase more as budget allows.

But never installed the expensive covers from pexsupply because some heaters I cover by furniture, and others I teach my baby not to touch.  I think you can get brakets from Home Depot or other hardware store.

Also use gloves as the cut end can be sharp. I have used these covers on almost all of my baseboard radiators, they look great and will not rust, even if used in the bathroom, have had for over 3 yrs now and they look brand new. You can use a plyers after the cut to even out the edge.
