Just Right

With Pex Supply nipples, you can be sure of a proper measurement. I needed exactly 2" length nipple to fit properly between a wall drain pipe and the trap under my bath sink -- 1-1/2" diameter -- and this was exactly 2." I've ordered multiple nipples from Pex over the years, and they have always been spot-on the advertised length. In plumbing, an extra 1/8" in length can render a part completely useless.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

When Shorter Is Better

I bought a couple of these recently to replace a very short bathroom sink nipple. A plumber tried to tell me there was no such thing as a nipple this short, but I had bought one almost as short from Pex Supply before, and sure enough they had these. This One is so short there is no flat center area meant to be gripped by a pipe wrench, but it doesn't matter -- you won't need the full amount of threads on either end fora tight fit, so you just go ahead and use your wrench to tighten right in the middle of this. I do suggest you buy two or three of these if you've got a tight fit on each end, as it matters where the thread-cuts start, and you may need a certain orientation in order to snug both sides, end in the right pipe-to-drain angle.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Does the length measurement (1.5 inches in this case) refer to the overall length or just the body of the nipple (the unthreaded section).

      The 1 1/2 on the GN-0715 refers to the length of the entire nipple (threaded and un-threaded section).
