  • Made in the USA · Every Burnham½ boiler is made in the U.S.A. To ensure the highest level of quality all Burnham boiler castings are produced "in-house" at our foundry in Zanesville, Ohio. Burnham is the only boiler manufacturer that can make such a claim.
  • Rugged cast iron sections... Superior pin design extracts the maximum amount of heat, reducing fuel consumption and saving you money.
  • Steel couplings... At Burnham we use steel couplings called "nipples" to join our cast iron sections. Steel nipples increase the longevity of your boiler. They are not affected by petroleum based chemicals, including antifreeze, which can deteriorate the cheaper rubber type gaskets substituted for steel push nipples in some competitors' boilers.
  • Fuel saving vent damper This automatically closes the flue to prevent heat from escaping up the chimney after the burner shuts off and reopens it again before the burner comes on.
  • Stainless steel burners... Stainless steel, unlike aluminized steel, ensure long life with no rusting.
  • Step-opening gas valve ...This type of gas valve enables the boiler to start on low fire and continue on to high fire safely and smoothly providing quiet ignition and long life.
  • Honeywell controls ...High quality brand name controls assure reliability and availability.
  • Combustible floor certified... The Series 2 boiler can be installed safely on most floors in your home without worry. No extra cost floor shield to buy.

                Q:

Hi, I am going to purchase this boiler and also line my chimney with a stainless liner. This boiler has a 5" flue. I also have a hot water heater that vents into the same flue with I think a 3" flue. I will need to combine these. I was wondering if I need to line the chimney with a 6" flue and then combine these two with a Wye. The chimney is 25 feet.
                Thanks.

The specs on this unit seem to match up with those of your old unit. You should be fine as long as your old boiler was natural gas powered.

                Q:

My question is I have the same type of furnace( Burnham P204) in my home. I moved in this home on August 2001. The furnace was operating smoothly. The last two years its been turning on like it should. But it does not heat the house on the first level. It's enough just to make it so you won't freeze. Especially the second level of the home it's very cold. I noticed a tag on it possibly stated that it was installed July 1985. I seen one of your furnace(as noted above) Do you think it's worth trying to fix the old one?(May be you can give me an idea with the problem could be). Or do you think I should purchase a new one from you? If so is it difficult to install this one I seen?

It sounds like the boiler is fine. There may be air in the system or a pump or zone valve could be bad. We suggest checking into those possibilities before replacing the whole boiler.
