Keep one or two around you never know when working on an old one if it will shut off or not. I had one crumble in my hands once.
Spend the extra and get this product that is very easy to install and will last a long time

Very compact and beautiful chrome compared with other brands. Ball valve much better than old style with sealing washer and stem packing. A natural fit when I replaced ALL leaking copper pipe with pex tubing and all Sharkbite fittings. Could not locate in area stores. [...]

Worked great in kitchen renovation

I used the angle stop valve as an emurgancy shut-off avlve under the sink. I placed it just inside the door for quick access. The connection hub is a little big, but it is a much faster connection than the old way.
