Fits OD controlled copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe. Design certified and agency listed. Compact, corrosion resistant, robust DZR brass body. Design certified to ANSI/NSF-61 product standard for use in potable water systems. No loose components, integrated design. Approved to be used underground and behind walls without access panels. These were so simple to install and work great. I have an outdoor wood furnace that uses PEX to bring the water to and from my house. I was always having problems with leaks where the PEX and copper lines hooked together. I was looking at running copper all the way, but if you have checked copper prices recently, that really wasn't an option at this time. I order these connectors and to my amazement, no more leaks. I would definately recommend these to anyone using PEX tubing.

Amazingly easy to use, slip onto the PEX tubing and you are done, used several and there were no leaks. A bit expensive for each fitting but for a small number of connections, no need for expensive tooling.

Working with pex vs. copper is the way to go!
Faster, Cleaner, best in tight spots, replaces buying a union (saves money), less fittings = less leaks.

  SharkBite fittings should not be sweated to directly to copper, however copper pipe can be used with SharkBite fitting connections. If you need to connect 1" copper pipe to the male threaded end of a U140 fitting, we would recommend that you use a WP3-16 fitting.

I have a WeilMclean WTGO 3 oil fired hot water boiler used for domestic hot water and hot water baseboard heating. I wanted to use Sharkbites to make some repairs on the copper and fittings on the boiler. Are these fittings rated for such? I see they're rated for 200psi and 200* temps. Thanks, John
