We modify these caps to make a connector for mounting a switch on a high voltage capacitor. The copper is hard enough to machine. The caps are thick enough to carry the current without overheating.

I use these copper caps to make miniature pots and pans for collectors around the world. These copper caps are of the best quality I have found. Most other brands have stampings of logos or names. These don't and they also have the best finish on them. I have been making these miniatures from copper caps for the last 35 years and I am so glad to have found PexSupply.com on the internet.

      The 3/8" for part WP17-06 refers to the nominal size of the copper tubing over which the cap will fit (which is copper with a 3/8" inside diameter and a 1/2" outside diameter). The cap itself has an ID slightly over 1/2" and an OD of 5/8".
