Comments about General Aire 1042LH By-Pass Drain Type Humidifier (24v):

I had to replace an older General Aire humidifier. It was about 25 years old. The way that the furnace and water heater were placed gave me very little space. Most of the newer humidifiers wouldn't fit. The 1042 fit the space and its installation was pretty simple. The furnace opening is a bit smaller and we went from a 110V operation to a 24V operation. The result is a much more confortable house.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
