Easy to install and as quiet as advertised. Installed it in my 20 year old gas fired boiler, to replace the same model pump which lasted 20 years. The old pump gave me plenty of
warning that it was failing (became noisy).Also appreciated the fact that it came with gaskets.

the electrical interface on the new pump was at the side as opposed to the top on the pump replaced. also the method of attaching the wires was different. it took me some time to figure out how to secure the wires on the new pump. once i got the wires properly secured and the pump installed with bolts securely tightened to stop the leaks, the pump performed very well.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I used this pump in a solar hot water heat exchange system that I built to replace an old system. The old system (25 years) had Grundfos pumps one of them was still working. I used the old pump along with the new one in the new system.
I believe that you get what you pay for in all products. The pumps are the heart of the system. The new system is giving me so much hot water that I am going to use some of this hot water to supply partial heat to a studio apartment. The nice thing about Grundfos pumps is that they are quiet and reliable, and if it fails it will be simple and quick to replace.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      This circulator will work as long as it can handle the flow rate and head pressure in your system. Based on its pump curve, this circulator would work in almost any application that a Bell & Gossett Series 100 unit would.

      This will replace the Bell & Gossett if you have a 1" line. The flange on this motor is for a 1" line. Otherwise it will be too big.

      That is a perfect replacement, the grundfos is very reliable and quiet.
      Careful that a lot of B&G pumps have opposite flange mounts, you may have to
      adjust your flanges.
