Install was easy and the unit has many functions. Using it for a van-ee in the winter and a DH90 in the summer. Shipping to Canada will result in a large border fee.

Finally - a decent humidistat! Works so much better than the humidistats that came with my steam humidifier. Easy to install, shows indoor and outdoor temp and humidity, +/- in 5% increments. Really glad I upgraded and pexsupply had the best price by far.

I hooked this up to my GeneralAire steam humidifier. We have daily temperature variations of 20 to 30 degrees F., and it works very well to control humidity levels as the outside temperature drops.
The installation instructions are fine, but the operating instructions are almost useless. I had to play with it to figure out how it actually works.
This controller has many capabilities I don't use. It should control almost any HVAC system.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      A:

      This seems like a very expensive way to MONITOR humidity. Why not just buy a cheap humidity meter?
      If you mount it to the wall and connect it to 24 VAC it will tell you the temperature and humidity at its location.
      If you are trying to CONTROL humidity, you would need motorized vents and/or fan controls. These are unlikely in a home.
      Everything it can do is in the manual, along with wiring diagrams. Seetachment.
      If you can't understand what the instructions say, get someone who can. This stuff is not for amateurs.

      A:

      This humidstat measures humidity and controls a fan, humidifier or
      dehumidifier, etc., depending on how you set it up. The manual says
      the humidity range is 5% to 95% and the accuracy is 4.5% if the
      temperature is between -17 F to 122 F.
      This humidistat needs 24 VAC (1.5 A max) to function and provides 24
      VAC 1 A on the outputs - that is not enough to run most devices, but
      is appropriate to switch a relay that operates the device.
