Provides electronic control of most intermittent pilot ignition systems used on gas-fired furnaces, boilers, and other heating appliances.
Overview
Field service replacement for most Honeywell, Robertshaw, Johnson, and UTEC (HSC) Intermittent Pilot Ignition Modules.
Features

Provides ignition sequence, flame monitoring and safety shutoff for intermittent pilot central furnaces and heating appliances.
Provides 100 percent pilot gas shutoff if pilot fails to light. after 6-minute delay, trial for ignition is repeated. Ignition trial/delay sequence is repeated until the appliance lights or call for heat is removed.
For use with Natural or LP gas.
For use in single rod or dual rod/remote sense applications. Includes relay contacts for use with any intermittent pilot gas control string with maximum 1.0A pilot or 2.0A main valve rating. Honeywell VR8204, VR8304 or VR8345M combination gas control recommended.
Includes spark cable adapters to allow field replacement of both Honeywell and competitive controls without replacing existing spark cable.

Works great

My furnace pilot was sparking, flaming, but immediately going and retrying. Replacing the combination ignitor/flame sensor didn't work but replacing this did. The only tricky part was the wiring since the my old Honeywell S8600M controller had the same wiring labels as this one but the main power actually needed to go in a different plug. Pex was 1/2 the price of my local [...] I would recommend Pex.

My last honeywell pilot control on my 93% furnace lasted twenty years. I expect this one to do the same. The control is a little different then the original,( it's a fit all ) and requires a change in wire connections, which are relatively simple. The best part is this control is listed on some other web sights at twice the price. Pex had the best price I could find.

Three different HCAC companies said my Lennox furnace had to be replaced becasue the ignition control was bad, was obsolete, and could not be replaced. This is truly a universal ignition module and the instructions clearly showed which existing wires went to which terminal on this control module. By proper placement I didn't even have to cut and splice any wiring. And it works perfectly!

While I was glad when last year (2010) I ordered this item, it lasted though only one year exactly. The pilot starter spark module in there kicked the bucket. But PexSupply was kind enough to honor the warranty and replaced it; I paid only the shipping charges.

Since it's running my furnace in my shop I need a reliable control module to prevent my machines from freezing. Hope this one will run more than a year.
