Comments about PRO Non-Programmable Digital Thermostat (1 Heat) Vertical Mount:

Almost everything was right in the description......except what I wanted ..........THE TEMPERATURE TO GO TO 35 DEGREES. It's not a huge deal breaker but it will only go down to 40 degrees, other than that a good product and description.

Great Thermostat

By Tucson Joe

from Tucson, AZ

Comments about PRO Non-Programmable Digital Thermostat (1 Heat) Vertical Mount:

I purchased 5 Honeywell Basic PRO 1000 Heat Only Thermostat - TH1100D1001 to replace old "mercury bulb" thermostats for a radiant heat system. This is a simple, straight forward heat only thermostat. They were very easy to install and work perfectly. Digital readout provide accurate room temperature monitoring. Setting/changing the room temperature setting is very quick and easy. This was a DIY project that was truly easy. I highly recommend this Honeywell Basic PRO 1000 Heat Only Thermostat for your thermostat needs.

Reliable Replacement Basic Thermostat

By apartment owner

from Monrovia, CA

Verified Buyer

Comments about PRO Non-Programmable Digital Thermostat (1 Heat) Vertical Mount:

Because of the ban on the use of mecury, basic theromstats without an internal battery, at least for now, have become unreliable. This unit is a great replacement with essentially no resistance measured across the terminals when in the "heater on" mode. The 2 small AAA batteries should last a long time. If not, I will be updating my rating.

Highly recommend for a warehouse or garage heating system. I installed it in my warehouse to control a Reznor F165 Gas Heater. It's very accurate and works great.

This is a great thermostat: easy to install, easy to use and adds accuracy you can't get with analog. Perfect for simple heat control.

      A:

Yes it would work superbly. I have purchased three of them. Two of which are powered by a battery. However, the more it cycles, the sooner you have to replace the battery. It does continue to work even though the display is dimmed (indicating low battery charge).

      A:

This is not powered by your system, but through double A batteries. These thermostats work great. Make sure they work for your application. These work with zone valves, low voltage systems, and I am quite sure they will not control electric base board heaters. That is a different model thermostat. Hope this helps.

I installed several of these in my house to replace the basic round
non-digital Honeywell model and they all seem to work well. Originally I
planned to use a Honeywellmodel. The first one worked but
the next 4 failed. The TH1100D1001 thermostat ay to go, easily
      readable and adjustable.

    Q:

Please confirm that this thermostat has a Fan "Auto/On" switch. The honeywell manual for this modes says it does, but all the pictures I see show only one switch (Heat/Off)?

      A:

This thermostat does not have a fan switch. You may be confusing it with the TH1110D1000 model, which has an AUTO-ON fan switch.

    Q:

I have only two wires from the old thermostat. where should i connect. Its a radiant heat.
    Asked on 12/5/2011 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • A:

A thermostat is only a two wire, on/off type switch. You could, theoretically, connect either wire to any terminal but, some computerized systems require polarity.
The manual should tell you which wire goes to which but, usually, it doesn't matter.

    Q:

I NEED A DIGITAL THERMOSTAT FOR HEAT ONLY TO REPLACE MY OLD HONEYWELL MERCURY THERMOSTAT THAT WAS SO RELIABLE. I SIMPLY WANT TO SET THE DESIRED HEAT LEVEL SUCH AS 55 DEGREES IN THE WINTER AND AS SOON AS IT IS REACHED TO SIMPLY CUT OFF. I ALSO NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE IS. I HAVE A NEW BURNHAM OIL FURNACE BOILER AND THE THERMOSTAT WILL CONTROL ONLY THIS UNIT.
