Comments about Honeywell FocusPro Programmable, 1H/1C, Standard Display Thermostat:

This thermostat works as expected. It hold's temp exactly where you set it & even comes with the AUTO-CHANGE! If anyone is looking for a great t-stat that is programmable, this one is it. It is fairly priced & comes with a 5 year warranty. It is also made by Honeywell-one of the leaders in the t-stat industry, as well as the HVAC industry. All in all-this product is a great thermostat.

Comments about Honeywell FocusPro Programmable, 1H/1C, Standard Display Thermostat:

Great thermostat and works perfectly once we found out that we had a couple wires crossed but fixed it and it came on right away. We had our son program it so it comes on automatically and shuts itself off at a certain time we don't have to do anything! A much better price at this website then other ones! It just took a while to get here but it was worth the wait!

Excellent product,not for the novice.

By Jerry

Comments about Honeywell FocusPro Programmable, 1H/1C, Standard Display Thermostat:

This thermostat is terrific. I can't verify it, but it seems to keep the temperature within a couple of 0.1s of a degree. My old digital thermostat wouldn't turn on until the temperature was 1 degree above the set temp and wouldn't turn off until it was 1 degree below the set temp. This thermostat needs to be programmed by someone who knows the specifications of your system.

  • Honeywell FocusPro Programmable, 1H/1C, Standard Display Thermostat

    Q:

Can this be programmed so renters can only use a certain temperature range eg 70 - 80 degrees F?
Asked on 10/25/2011 by Anonymous from Kissimmee, Florida

    • A:

No. This t-stat does not allow you to set the max & minimum temp ranges. If you want one that does this purchase a Robertshaw RS5110 t-stat.

Answered on 3/27/2012 by JOE-HVAC WANT TO BE! from SILVER CITY, NM
    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

No, this thermostat does not have that capability. You can program it within that range, but renters would be able to override the program settings.

Yes it can be programmed but they could change it. The arrows at the right can be pushed to go up or down temporarily but will revert back to what was programmed. Hope this helped!

The Display should light up if any button is pressed. If it does not light it up, it is possible the thermostat is defective.

    Q:

What should be the heat cycle rate for a steam gas boiler?
    Asked on 11/26/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

First, you need to go into the Installer Set-up and configure the thermostat to match the installed heating/cooling system and customize feature operation as you desire. In SET-UP Function #5 STAGE 1 HEAT CYCLE RATE (CPH: cycles/hour), you need to hit “1” for Steam or Gravity Systems. Please follow the directions in the Installer Guide on Page 6.

    Q:

i've changed the batteries in this unit now it says tempory and the heat wont go on?????
    Asked on 11/19/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The batteries used for your thermostat should always be changed once a year. If the new batteries are installed within 2 minutes from the time you took the old batteries out, the time and day will not have to be reset; or it might be in the “Hold” setting and you would need to press “Run Schedule” to resume the program schedule. Also make sure the thermostat is set to the system you want to control (heat, cool or auto).

To begin, press and hold the "Up temperature button" and the FAN buttons simultaneously until the display changes. The display will show the "Function" number on the left and the "Setting" on the right. Press the "next" button until you reach function "14", it will display a setting of "0". Press the "Up temperature button" to change from "0" to "1", this will change the readout from fahreneit to celsius. Press "Done" to exit and save the setting.

Easy. Just go into programming by holding the center bottom button and the up arrow button at the same time. Then release the buttons. Now select the item to change by pressing next until you get to item #14. Then press the up arrow to change. 0 is for Fahrenheit and 1 is for Celsius. Press done...That's it.

  • Honeywell FocusPro Programmable, 1H/1C, Standard Display Thermostat

    Q:

I have this model in my home. My home is 3 years old.
Just recently I noticed it is not reading 2 of the 4 time change controls. Upon taking it's face off, we noticed the batteries have leaked some acid. Could this be affecting why my thermostat won't always work? And if so, does it sound like we just need to swap ours out for a new one?
Asked on 9/2/2010 by Shawna from Tucson, AZ

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The batteries may be the reason the thermostat does not recognize the time settings. It is suggested to reset the unit by reprogramming the settings. If this does not work a new unit would have to replace this one. The batteries in this unit must be Alkaline only (no Lithium batteries can be used).
