I ordered on a Sunday evening, the product shipped on Monday, and I received it in Texas on Thursday - great service from PEX! The thermostat was a very easy and straight forward install with no surprises. Programming is very intuitive and easy with the large touch screen interface. Been installed for 3 weeks and working great - highly recommend.

Kudos to Honeywell for TH8321U1006

Thermostat was installed in a residence because of its 24/7 programming. Installation documents were clear and unit was easy to install.

One glitch in programming regarding Backlight. Logic had to be set to ON (logic 1) while the thermostat was operating on battery power. Then when transformer power was wired to the thermostat, the Backlight turned ON. This is logically inverted compared to documentation. Honeywell's service was highly disappointing when asked for help. This did cause extra hours of trouble shooting.

I recommend this thermostat. The residence is thermally more stable than ever before.

I have been using VisionPro Programmable Touchscreen Thermostats & Dehumid Control for several years now and I have just purchased my 4th unit. These thermostats are far and away the best thermostats that I have ever used. They are extremely flexible in both setup and programming. The programming is very easy and straight forward. The readout is clear and bright. Of all the great features of this thermostat has, my favorites are:
1. Automatic switching between heat and cool modes
2. Can measure and control humidity
3. Allows remote temp sensors
4. Can setup multiple programmed temp stages per day maximizing energy efficiency and reducing heating and cooling costs
5. Very easy and quick to program
6. Can remove thermostat from wall and program while sitting in your easy chair.

You can't go wrong with this thermostat. I highly recommend it.

Best thermostat on the market

1) has a safety feature that when the A/C is turned off, it will not come back on for a user specified number of minutes (several choices available). (This only applies to the thermostat, it can not detect power outages to your house and will not provide protection for this (at least when running on batteries don't know about when running with the powered option), but neither will any other thermostat I know of) This protects your A/C compressor.
2) has a humidity sensor. You have to turn on the option to enable it. The thermostat displays the current humidity. If this feature is turned on, it runs the A/C to 3 degrees less than the setting to pull the humidity down to your humidity setting. This is a great feature since the more water in the air the harder it is for your body to cool itself, thus you feel hotter and sticky. It turns out that you can set this thermostat in the summer 2-3 degrees higher than other thermostats, because when the humidity is low you don't have to set it as cold. Then when the humidity goes up it will run the A/C more to remove the water. This feature save you money!
3) programming is easy
4) has change filter message on display, you can pick from several different run times.
5) numbers are large on the display
6) 7 day 4 changes per day programable
7) I bought 2 and recommended it to all my friends.

    I currently have a Vision Pro Commercial TB8220U1003. If I change to the Vision Pro TH8321U1006 can I use the Vision Pro Commercial TB8220U1003 Wall plate? it looks like the wire connections are the same.

      Honeywell recommends the same cover plate for both those units (part 32003796-001). You should have no problem using the one from the existing TB8220U1003 unit with the new TH8321U1006 thermostat.

      Touch the SYSTEM area then press and hold the middle square at the bottom to get to the advanced functions setup. Scroll through the function numbers to Function 280 and change the setting to 0. The backlight will stay on for 8 seconds after you touch the screen than cut off.

      According to the manufacturer, the Dehumidification control: TH8321 models monitor the indoor humidity level and automatically activate the cooling system to reduce humidity by lowering the temperature by up to 3 degrees below the current cool setting.       Dehumidification control is where the thermostat utilizes your heating and cooling equipment to remove moisture from the air. I do not believe that this thermostate would be the proper model for humidifying...adding moisture to the air. I am sure Honeywell makes a thermostat for your purpose but I do not know the model.
