I've had a few bad experiences with thermostats lately... saving a few bucks by buying a Rite Temp thermostat was a bad idea. It was garbage, and it made me so furious that I was willing to shell out quite a bit of cash just for some piece of mind. I knew that Honeywell made solid thermostats so that's where I began my search, but being the tech type I wanted something with extras, and that is when I came across this little beauty. Install was a breeze, screen is vibrant and easy to read even from great distances, and I love the outside temperature and humidity capabilities. The remote is the coolest thing ever! You can even set the thermostat to the temperature to where the remote is located and not the stat. It's also very accurate; No misfires, no screen glitches, no inaccurate reads, even outside temp and humidity is right on the money. I wish it wasn't so pricey but I feel it was worth the money for its convenience and coolness factor. I will recommend this to anyone who is willing to pay for quality.

I purchased this product because it has the remote thermostat. Our house is set-up as a single zone, so you inevitably get cold spots and hot spots. The remote thermostat allows my wife to have the temperature regulated in the room she is in. It's user friendly, as much as a thermostat can be. This thing is exactly as you would expect, awesome. HOWEVER, you should be able to control it through an iPhone App or online. I can't believe that they would make an advanced Thermostat like this and not make it modifiable through an app.

This product was easy to set up and it works 100% as advertised. The thermostat controls a furnace, a/c unit and humidifier and does a fine job maintaining accurate settings. The user interface is easy to understand, so programming the thermostat is a breeze. The wireless outdoor temperature sensor and portable thermostat control unit are added conveniences that I highly recommend although the added cost may be prohibitive for some. In that case, consider purchasing the standalone thermostat and you will not be diappointed.

When a device is so good, one looks for the flaws to write about. As for pro, this unit is by far the easiest unit to install, set up and above all, operate (including programming). As far as cosmetics, it's like buying a painting for the wall. Eye catching it is with beautiful graphic display and blue background. In our set-up, we have two HVAC systems in our home that run independently. Therefore bought two units, this one being reviewed (includes the remote) AND Model # YTHX9321R5012 (without remote). The remote is capable of operating up to two systems. Each do include an outdoor wireless temp/humidity sensor so we have one placed in a Courtyard area (near the walls of our home) and the other further out into the backyard away from the heat generating from the house to get an accurate outdoor reading. CONS: I found only two. The first one is obvious, price. One can buy a unit that does nearly the same functions for substantically less. I don't recommend this unit for a rental property, but if you do have a nice well furnished home and have the money available, go for it. Second and not a big deal to me but an observation: One very cool thing about the remote is although the main unit may be against the wall in one area of the home, you can simply use the remote as the "reading temp" location. In other words, if you have the remote next to your bedside when asleep, the thermostat read and keeps the home at the temp where the remote is located. You can toggle the point of "reading" from the remote back to the wall unit with a touch on the remote screen. Very cool! However where Honeywell screwed up is when you use TWO thermostats as in my case, you only can toggle from one wall unit to the other and you lose the ability to have the wall unit read from the remote as previously described. Software blunder or perhaps microchip limiations during it's design at Honeywell. Not a huge deal in my case but I wanted to point this out. The remote still works well in displaying the temp where the remote is located on it's screen and the ability to adjust each of the two wall units remotely. All in all, this is a terrific product that after you overcome it's cost, you'll love it nonetheless.

This thermostat is not just functional but also very cool looking!

Wireless control and wireless outdoor sensor are nice luxury features and work well. The control is a little oversized (when you compare it with iPhone for example).

One thing to watch out for is that it requires common/5th wire: you likely have it in your wall but it may not be hooked up at the furnace: either test this with a multi-meter or get a pro to install this for you.

The Prestige HD Comfort System is a great kit. It gives you the ability to place a thermostat in any room, any where. The Outdoor sensor is luxury that you will not want to be without once you've used it.
