Nice Fittings

Works great! It's the best price option to connect PEX-B to copper pipe. The item was clean and the sweat coupling is properly sized so it was easy to solder.

I've used a lot of these in the 5/8" & 3/4" sizes too. Assemble them finger tight then just snug them up with a wrench, not one leak from any of them.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good Tool-Free PEX fitting

We use this fitting in our Solar Hot Water system because it can be used without special PEX tools. An other benefit is that the PEX can easily be disconnected and reconnected - something that can not be done with compression-ring style PEX fittings. These fittings create a hermetic seal.

It would be nice if PEXSupply would also stock the male-threaded versions of these fittings - so they can be directly used in female-threaded fittings.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

After having been in the remodeling business for 40 yrs. I tried pex pipe for the first time. The results were excellent. Ease of use, minimal fittings, etc. all made the job better. I used the compression couplings to end the pex pipe with copper so that the stubs out of the wall finished like a total copper job. The HydroPEX connectors worked perfectly.

A great PEX fitting

After testing all PEX fittings around, we have selected this fitting to be used in our Sunnovations Solar Hot Water system - which uses PEX tubing.

The benefit of these fitting above most other pex fittings is that these do not require special tools - a regular pliers works. Another benefit is that the pex tube can be easily disconnected and re-connected, which is not possible with compression type pex fittings.

The fittings create a perfect seal to the pex, and can not be pulled out. We have used this in many systems, and we have never had an issue with any fitting.

These fittings come in various sizes and there is choice to fit them to be sweated or used to threaded connections.

The price is fairly high, hopefully it will come down if this fitting is used more commonly.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was concerned about using crimp-type connectors with the PEX product. I found your compression fittings and ordered a box for my project. They are extremely well made and worked perfectly. They are a little pricey but they gave me the piece of mind I needed. Also, I did not have to invest in a crimp tool since I already had crescent wrenches!

      A:

      This 450PXCMP0304 fitting is designed to connect to 5/8" PEX via a compression fitting. The threaded portion in the photo at the center of the fitting is where the compression nut threads on to the fitting. The other side of the fitting is copper sweat.

    I bought a Manabloc manifold package which came with a 3/4" male NTP adapter sku # 46646. Is this the correct compression coupler to mate 3/4" Pex tubing to the adapter (sku # 46646) which came with the manifold package?
