Very difficult to use single handed

This tool is very difficult to use with only one hand. The other hand is needed to hold the clamp in the correct place, and the tool is so difficult to squeeze together, it is almost impossible for one person to do the job. This tool should be improved to work easily with just one hand, leaving the other hand to hold the clamp and pipe.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bought this to do the Pex plumbing in my cabin in Colorado..It is not easy to use one handed for a older guy like me, but you can really put the crimp on the clamps with this sucker..Well worth the money

Tool works great to clamp stainless steel bands but product title indicates it cuts the bands for removal. No instructions came with it and I was not able to figure out how to use it to cut bands.

      The video linked below demonstrates how to cut clamp rings. Keep in mind that this is a clamp tool that cuts stainless steel clamp rings. It does not work with copper crimp rings.

      The crimp tool they sell that is supposed to remove them is not the answer. You have to take a small screwdriver and pry the end of the clamp over the retention catch and the ring will release.
