Used this product to run rope lights under our deck roof for summer lighting. rope light is exactly 1/2" and the only drawback is the product needs to be exactly 1/2" to hold tubing firmly or it will sag.

Should come with screws

To secure PEX to wood joists, this fastener is very good, I would have to say better than hangers which secure on both sides of the pipe. The reason being that you can clip these on at any location without removing the fastener. But I would highly recommend replacing the serrated nail with a 2-1/2" screw or longer, simply because you can then easily re-position the clamp if you need to. That is difficult to do when you nail it in. Also, they should countersink the surface of the plastic on one side of where the screw meets the plastic- I found that this clamp's material was not durable enough to take the force of a tightly driven screw, or hammered-in nail for that matter. The clamps that have fasteners on both sides secure the PEX to whatever surface you're securing it to more tightly than these.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
