**Federal Tax Credit Information

The purchase and installation of this energy-efficient product in your home qualifies you for a Federal Tax Credit.

The 2010 tax credit is worth 30% of the item's total cost (including installation), up to a maximum of $1,500. The credit is applicable on products placed in service between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 and installed in your primary residence.

The 2011 tax credit extension is worth 10% of the item's total cost up to of $500 (installation cost is not included). The credit is applicable on products placed in service between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011 and installed in your primary residence. There is a $500 cap for the 2011 tax credit extension, so if you have claimed $500 or more since January 1, 2005, you are not eligible for the credit. Additional caps have been placed on specific product categories, including a $300 cap for water heaters and a $150 cap for boilers.

Since this package air conditioning system has a Season Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) greater than or equal to 14 and an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) greater than or equal to 12, it qualifies for the Federal Tax Credit.

To apply for the tax credit, you must file and submit the relevant tax forms. For products "placed in service" in 2011, you would take the tax credit on your 2011 income taxes. Remember to save your receipts and the Manufacturer's Certification Statement for your records.

Please see Federal Tax Credits for Consumer Energy Efficiency for additional information.

LG Mini-Split, Duct-Free Air Conditioning Installation & Warranty Info

Pex Supply recommends the installation of all LG Ductless Split Systems to be done by a licensed, trained & qualified HVAC technician with the proper knowledge and background. A trained technician will be able to judge the best location for the air handling (evaporator) unit and also the correct size for the area it has to cool.

Should you experience an issue during the installation or the initial startup of the unit please do not contact the manufacturer. You should have the technician that installed the units contact either Pex Supply or the manufacturer. LG cannot accept any service or warranty calls from anybody but a licensed HVAC technician. We have a full technical support team available to help you throughout the installation process should the need arise.

Pex Supply and LG Electronics U.S.A. cannot be held liable for improper installation and operation of any LG air conditioning product purchased from our company. Should a warranty issue arise where parts will need to be replaced, an installation receipt will be required along with your Pex Supply sales receipt. Failure to provide a receipt or invoice may result in the warranty not being honored.

Note: Warranties on mini split air conditioners only include parts and do not include labor. The licensed HVAC Technician who installs your air conditioner should always provide you with a labor warranty (preferably for a full year to compliment the manufacturers' parts warranty).

Comments about LG 2 Zone Cool-Heat Multi-Split Package - 18,000 BTU (Tax Credit):

Heats and cools well. May make more noise when running at full throttle, but so far heating has been barely audible--and we've had some nights in the teens.

    Q:

I currently have a single unit but I need to replace w/ muli-split unit. Can this unit utilize my existing Ambiance freon lines and wiring to one of the units?

      A:

We do not normally recommend re-using the refrigerant lines, unless the lines have been thoroughly flushed out. You need to remove all traces of the previous refrigerant that was in the lines. You can re-use the copper wiring as long as it was rated for the same voltage as the new system is.
