This unit was very easy to use and set up. Took it out of the packaging read it the easy to use instructions and voila! I was set up, plugged in the unit and ready to go! One in the garage to keep the dog warm for when we are away and in one of the one of our rooms where it doesn't seem to get a lot heat in the winter.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use the thermostat to control temperature in our 8' x 10' green house with outdoor temperature swings above and below freezing. The temperature at the thermostat has remained within 1 degree above and below the set temperature. There is a temperature swing control with nine settings, and we have it set to the tightest setting at this time. Our range of outdoor temperatures usually fluctuates between 5 degrees and 35 degrees in the winter season.

    Q:

    Is the "•Adjustable Temperature Differential / Cycle Rate" the temperature of the unit's on and off? And if so what is the range you can set it? Example: Can I set it to turn a space heater on at 75 degrees and off at 82 degrees to keep it from short cycling?

      A:

      The temperature differential (aka “swing value”) is only adjustable to a maximum of 2.25 degrees. If you have your temperature set at 75 degrees it will go as low as 72.75 degrees before it turns on and then go to 77.25 degrees before it shuts off.
