  • Temperature Differential: + or - 1¦ factory preset differential adjustable from 1/4°F to 2-1/4°F.

  • Compatibilities : 2-5 wire forced air systems, 2 wire hydronic systems, and hydronic air handling systems.

This unit was on sale so I ordered it to replace an older digital when I replaced a taco zone valve. It's easy to program and seems to work fine. The only complaints I have are 1) I was hoping the display would be on all the time, not just when I push a button. The manual doesn't mention any way to wire it to do this. 2) it does not anticipate reaching the set point very well when going from a cool to a warm period. The heat will initially surge 3-4º over set point but will hold the set point very accurately after that. All in all though, for what I paid, I'm satisfied.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I'm using this in a hot water system fired by a Wood Gun boiler from Alternate Heating Systems and a hot air exchanger in existing ductwork (plan to add radiant to a section of the house within the month and use another Lux thermostat in that room). I'm very pleased with how easy it is to program. It is set up to fire the fan in the plenum and the circulating pump at the same time. I'm very pleased with how it does this.

An excellent thermostat, especially considering the price. Easily shows set temperature, actual temperature, whether fan is on or off, whether cooling (or heating) system is on or off, and time of day. Touch any button for a 10 second illuminated display. Easily installed and easy to program. Highly recommended.

    I have a broken Lux PSP511LA programmable thermostat. Can I use the PSP511LC as a replacement without changing the wiring? i.e. can I slide the latter model on without changing any wiring.
