        Comments about Malco 2-1/2" Foamboard Staples, 200/box:

        I've been using staples for about 10 years and really like them better than tying to wire mesh. Some real smart contractors say they won't hold when a concrete pump truck blows concrete on the tube. But I've never had any trouble. Hold the concrete hose a little lower, and stand on the tube if necessary.
        These Malco staples are better because they don't use masking tape like Wirsbo's staples to hold the strips together. That eventually gums up your stapler, and doesn't hold them together as well.
        The price of stapler and staples has come down a lot I think since I bought mine. Competition has a way of doing that.

          Q:

          Who meny foamboard staples are required for 2400 feet of 1/2 pex?
          My shop is 36' x 64' with 2" of foamboard covered with 5" of sand and 5" concrete with fiber mesh.

            A:

            It is recommended to space the staples about every 3 feet. You would need roughly 800 staples or 4 boxes for 2400 feet of tubing.
