Mr. PEX Radiant Heat Manifold Packages include supply manifold with balancing valve and flow meter, return manifold with valves (ready for actuators), mounting brackets, end cap with drain, basic end cap, and adapters to attach 1/2" PEX Tubing to the manifold. These manifolds are ideal for radiant heat systems. They do not come assembled.

  • Mr. PEX 6 Loop Radiant Heat Manifold Package (1/2" PEX)

    Q:

    I have a 6 loop brass pex manifold and this morning I awoke to find one of the loops is barely running any water thru it as the flow meter barely reads any flow rate....adjusting it does not change the flow meter yet is seems to be flowing a very minor amount...the other 5 loops work fine, flow meter changes when changing the adjustment yet this one loop doesn't seem to be working properly...the outgoing manifold with the meters on it is mounted upside down so the meters are pointing to the floor...the return manifold is also mounted upside down as all tubing enters both manifolds from the top side....is it possible there is some kind of blockage in this one loop right at the manifold?

      A:

      It is possible that there is some sort of a blockage, as flow meters that are mounted upside down can accumulate sediment. The flow meters can be replaced (part MP172S).

      A:

      You can install the manifold upside down, but the flow meter itself will not function properly if it's upside down.

      A:

      Your goal should be to get the flow meters to have equal readings. The settings needed to do this depend on the flow through each loop.

      The supply/return adapter is MP131. The shut-off valves are MP135 or MP139.

    Q:

    I had a heating contractor install one of these 4 loop manifolds a few years ago... today when I turned on the system, I had water leaking from the top of one of the control valves. Turning off the system, I see that the brass male thread has completely separated from the manifold (that is, threads are in the nut as threaded shaft has broken from the manifold body). Seems like the brass is very thin at this thread. What is the warranty on replacement in this case? System has been untouched since installation?
