Description for Qmark HBB758

A sheathed electric heating element is totally immersed in a heat-transfer liquid and sealed in a heater-length copper tube. The large diameter reservoir maximizes the volume of heat storage fluid to prolong the thermal constant of the entire heater. Gentle heat keeps radiating even after the thermostat turns off because of the hydronic elements retention qualities.
GO-ANYWHERE DESIGN. The entire unit mounts flush to any wall and flat on any floor - wood, carpet or tile. The trim, three-inch thick functional design and low operating temperatures allow carpeting to be installed up to and around the baseboard.
QUALITY INSIDE AND OUT. Heavy-duty welded steel louvered grilles discourage insertion of foreign objects and direct heat outward into the room. Designer-style junction boxes are made of high-strength Lexan+ to resist scratches and wear marks. Built-in cut-off automatically shuts down the heater should any overheating occur.

Comments about Qmark 70" Hydronic Electric Baseboard Heater (120 Volt - 1,500 Watts):

Purchased this product to add heat to a sunroom that would be too difficult to wire for 220V so the 110V option of this product was attractive. Finish of the product is high quality and looks like professional grade equipment. Wiring was easy. About the only way you could improve the product is to provide pre-punched holes for installing into the wall.

I purchased this product for a small full bathroom renovation. Installation was quick and easy. Heats the space very well and with the bathroom door open it heats the hallway as well. Going to buy a couple more (though larger versions) for my two bedrooms.

On a side note... Shipping of this product took way too long. I was worried it would never come. After multiple emails and calls to this company it finally arrived.

In remodeling a small 4' x 7' shower/toilet room, a forced air wall heat register had to be removed to make room for a bigger shower. There was no other solution but to add an electric wall baseboard heater. I checked [...] for baseboard heaters. All three stores carry 32" - 36" 500watt heaters, but only 110v and not hydronic. Cost at all three was around $30, but the units looked cheaply made. The QMark hydronic heater which was 4 times more money was well worth the added cost. It works very well and has a good high quality look and finish. We recently went through temperatures around zero, and the room with this heater is actually warmer than when the forced air duct was working.

I got it to supplement the heat in a cold Chicago master bathroom. We didn't want a noisy fan or a blower that would make you feel cold coming out of the shower.
We got the 46"? one because we had high ceilings and two windows in this bathroom, but putting the thermostat on low or #1 is enough to make the bathoom, an adjacent changing room AND the master bedroom toasty. We probably could have gone with a smaller unit but we love it. We can also lower the nightime setting on the home thermostat and not heat the whole house throughout the night.

This is very possible in a new construction, even in a cold climate, but a heat loss calculation would be necessary to find out for sure.
