I use the robertshaw 5110 for many different applications. It is the only stat I carry on my service vehicle. I can use it in most situations. It is reliable and user friendly. Compared to some of the other value level stats it is a great choice and can compete with much more expensive options

Had previously purchased 2 of 1 type and 1 of another type Honeywell thermostats, but they didn't work well with our radiant floors. The system would come on for 10 minutes and then shut off. With 3 different zones the system kept going on and off keeping us awake at night. The Honeywell units tried to keep the temperature within +/- 1 degree but you couldn't adjust the swing/differential temperature. Was on the phone with their India support several times and found that none of their thermostats had this important adjustment. The RobertShaw units can adjust swing/differential temperature in 1/2 degree steps up to 3 degrees and work great. I also like the large temperature readouts and that they show both set temperature and room temperature.

This thermostat has many nice features. It comes with a 5 year warranty & is made by Robertshaw. One would think it would perform accurately, but it doesn't. Example: I had the swing temp set at 1/2 degree. Well in cooling mode it seemed to work fine. When the stat called for cooling-it would come on & run for about 6 minutes before turning off. After all how long would it take to cool 1/2 degree? Well, when it was time for the heating season & the stat called for heat-it came on & was still running 13 minutes later before I couldn't take the overly warm conditions in my house & just shut off the system. It really shouldn't take 13 minutes or longer to heat the house a 1/2 degree. So I put on my HONEYWELL PRO T8775C DIGITAL ROUND THERMOSTAT & IT RUNS GREAT! CYCLES THE HEAT IN ABOUT 5 MINUTES. MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. STICK WITH HONEYWELL-MUCH MORE RELIABLE!

Product works great. Easy to program & it has more features that I know what to do with. Only drawback is when it first calls for heat or cool-it seems to run much longer than at other times. But overall-a good t-stat with a great warranty.

This thermostat allows you to set the differential temp at .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 degrees so that the heating and cooling units do not rapid-cycle off and on to maintain the desired temperature. This was the primary reason for my choosing Robertshaw! The thermostat installs easily - the instructions are understandable given one's understanding of heating and cooling system connections. Robertshaw tech support was quick to respond to my question. Easy to operate. Has a lock code feature to prevent the family from fiddling with the setting. Daddy like!

Easy to use and easy to program. Fan control has 3 settings auto,on,and cycle 15 on 20 off.
Only complaint is when selecting Schedule over ride to a different temperature, the time always defaults to 3 hours no matter whwt was set previously
