    Q:

    I'm new to pex/manifolds so let me ask a dumb question. I simply connect the hot and cold sides of the water heater (using a short piece of pex pipe) from the pex flex lines to 2 different manifolds? One manifold for hot and the other for cold?

    I need the valves to be on the top and the inlet to be on the right. According to the picture this is not the case. Are the valves adjustable? (Can they be turned to face the other way?) Do you have a product like I am looking for?

      We do not have a manifold like you are looking for, but you can face the valves the other way (provided they will not be blocked) or install the manifold upside down.
