Bought enough radiators for 5 rooms to replace existing 50 year old Slant/Fin baseboard radiators.

The new Slant/Fin were easy to install.

However, the radiators are made of thin metal and are easily bent. Slant/Fin does not pack their product well, and mine had numerous scratches and paint defects.

We removed a bathroom wall and decided to join two heaters with a longer baseboard instead of the two separate ones we had. It looks much better and there's nothing like updating a +/- 25 year old product!

A great baseboard coverup

This is a replacement for a 50-year-old "rusty steel" unit in a first floor bathroom. The new unit is solidly constructed. This new unit, also, seems rust resistant. The installation is somewhat more difficult than expected, but within acceptable parameters, based on the results. This very miner improvement completely altered the room's appearance, making this project well worth the 90 minute effort. This is my first order with PEX Supply it will not be my last.

This product worked well for new covers for old radiators. The brackets needed a little "modification" but did end up working out.

I bought the cover as a replacement, a little tricky to get on (ouch!). Fits perfectly. Paint is slightly off white instead of bright white.

  Yes, Slant/Fin offers touch up paint for the baseboards. Nu-white is the standard color.

You say these covers resist rust. Do you make anthing that is rust proof. Mine are a nightmare with two sons who seem to have issues with not hitting the baseboard heaters (you know what I mean).

  Fine/Line 30 models (not Fine/Line 15) are Slant/Fin's most rust-resistant baseboards. We also carry rust resistant DIY baseboard heater covers. We are not sure whether or not either of them have been tested against urine.

The 15D product and 30D product look similar on-line. The prices are different. The height and depth sizes are different. Is the material they are made of different? I have ordered the 30D for one replacement. Will I be disappointed if I order the 15D for the other, longer, replacement?

  The 30D model is made of a higher-grade galvanized steel to resist rust more effectively. As long as the 15D models fit your elements and are not located in a rust-conducive area, they should work fine.
