The Stiebel Eltron DHC tankless water heaters are designed for installation at the point of use. They heat water instantaneously as water flows through the unit. With the Stiebel Eltron DHC Heaters, stand-by losses are completely eliminated.
The heating elements are controlled by a flow switch and by an exclusive scald-guard thermostat, which keeps the water temperature within safe limits at all times. In addition, the DHC water heaters are equipped with a safety high-limit with manual reset. The rugged all copper design of the Stiebel Eltron DHC Heater ensures many years of reliable service.

I use this heater as a boost to my regular water heater for radiant in floor heat. Works very well,also Pex Supply had best price of anyone by far.

I am using this on my kitchen sink in my mountain cabin. I know the incoming water temp is low so I wasn't expecting really hot water in the winter. The flow switch on this model is so sensitive that once you get it adjusted the temperature will not stay the same. It is really frustrating to be washing your hair with the water going from hot to cold. I am trying an Eemax for my next water heater.

The product was a little different from my 24k BTU unit, but works quite the same. The only issue which I knew prior to buying it has no thermostat control to measure inlet and outlet temp. Flow will determine the outlet temp. A flow switch will operate two "cherry" micro switches to energize the heater. They appear to be easy to change out went the contact life expires. The only installation issue I found was I prewired the unit before hanging on the wall and one of the mounting screw hole is behind the wire where it lands on the terminal. I was easier for me to prewire it prior to putting in the mounting spot. You dont have much room to work with the large wires in the small unit.

I have had the 24k btu unit for almost three years with no problems.
