  • Taco 005 Cast Iron Circulator, 1/35 HP

    Q:

I have a Taco 005-ZF2-4 Circulator Pump that appears to not be working. The LED light does not come on when a thermostat request heating. However, the Trinity boiler does come on begins heating. There appears to be heated water flowing through the pump not sufficiently. If a replacement is necessary do you have a like item?

      A:

We would recommend that you check the thermostat connected on the control of the pump to see whether there are any burn marks.

    Q:

I am currently running hydronic heat to baseboards in my house and want to convert one area to in floor heat. At present the house is operating from a single pump. I realize I need to install a 4 way valve, however am I correct in assuming I need a 2nd pump after the 4 way regulator? If so, which one? Would I place a globe valve in line to regulate flow?
Asked on 2/3/2011 by steve from st paul,mn

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

You do need a 4-way (or 3-way) zone valve and a second pump, but we would need to know your GPM/head pressure requirements before we could suggest a specific model. And yes, you should place a globe valve in line to regulate flow.

  • Taco 005 Cast Iron Circulator, 1/35 HP

    Q:

I have a TACO 005 1/35 hp taco pump would a 007 1/25 hp work? Which one is bigger? Also I do not have IFC on the pump that I currently use can I switch to a pump that has IFC?
Asked on 1/9/2011 by Anonymous from West Virginia

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The 007 is a "bigger" pump than the 005; you can use the 007 if the system required more of an output than the 005 can handle. There would be no problem getting both pumps in the IFC version.

  • Taco 005 Cast Iron Circulator, 1/35 HP

    Q:

How do I order flanges? Are they all the same size plate with different sized threads?
Asked on 9/14/2010 by Jim from Michigan

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Since flanges come with different tread sizes, the tread size would depend on your connection. The 110-251F, 110-252F, 110-253F, 110-254F can all be used with this pump.
