Quick & convienient to install

By Gerry The Handyman

from Bandera TX

Mounted Manobloc on 3/4" plywood backboard with 2 side boards drilled (per inacurate template provided with manifold kit) to provide stablility for PEX connections to each port. Ordered spare Valve Stem Replacement Kit to leave with customer in case of future Manobloc design changes. Centrally located branch valves integrated into the Manobloc are a great idea too. Would have been helpful if the drilling template would have been accurately printed, as it caused most of the PEX connections to be off center, some by almost 1/2 an inch.

Comments about Viega MANABLOC 1/2" Port Cap:

When purchasing the Manabloc manifold, if you don't use up all ports of the manifold, this product will help ensure that there will be no unwanted leakage at the manifold besides keeping your inspector happy.

Useful for stopping water flow

By Niner

Comments about Viega MANABLOC 1/2" Port Cap:

With these on the ports of the Manablock, no water is able to flow out. This is very handy if you decide to open all the valves at the same time but don't have lines connected to all of them. Otherwise, you will end up with water spraying everywhere.

Comments about Viega MANABLOC 1/2" Port Cap:

Handy little things to have when installing a system to cap off valves you don't use. Prevents damage to the threads and prevents accidental leaks.

MANABLOC manifolds have unique thread for all distribution and supply ports, but the specific thread spec information is not available.

Are these end caps made entirely out of PEX?

These port caps are made of engineered plastic.

      A:

Doubt it very much. The pipe is PEX and is cross-linked polyethylene (PE) (the X is for cross-linked) by radiation or a cross-linking agent and heat. The end caps appear to be injection molded from an ordinary plastic. Could be PEX (mold first and then cross-link) but would guess that would be both not necessary for the application and more expensive.

      A:

NO. They are 100% plastic. PEX is a polyethylene.
