    Q:

I am installing a tankless hot water system.I have read the instruction manual on how to pressurize and bleed the air out of the system. The hot water tank actvates on pressure drop in system. Will I have trouble pressurizing and bleeding the air out of this manifold.I have read the instruction manual for this valve and it only says to make sure valves are open that are connected..

      A:

You will not have any problem bleeding the air from the manifold. Keep in mind that whenever you install these they are always filled with air. Just open the valves and let the water fill the manifold and lines.

      A:

As long as you bleed the individual lines that you have hooked up you should
not have any problems. I used my manifold with a water heater and now with
a tankless water heater and didn't have any issues bleeding the air, I just
had to bleed it at each fixture in the house.

No, it does not. Any brand should be compatible. You should use PEX tubing without an oxygen barrier that is approved for potable water use.

Does it matter which way the manifold in orientation when mounting. My supply lines would be coming from below. All the install instructions show the supply line coming from above.

    Q:

WHAT SIZE IS THE LOWER SUPPLY INLET ON THIS UNIT?
Asked on 9/16/2010 by SEAN CANADA from EDMONTON CANADA

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The manabloc comes with special thread sizing on the supply connections. This is a feature of the manabloc in which the supply adapters are needed in order to connect the manabloc to the supply lines. This package comes with the 3/4" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter. Regular copper fittings will not thread properly into the manabloc, so you would need the supply adapter. So in answer to your question, there isn't a set size the thread on the manabloc has. You simply need to purchase the supply adapters that will thread into the manabloc on one end, and then the other side of the fitting will connect to the supply line.
