      yes the 1 X 3/4 X 1/2 black iron pipe fitting can be use for gas line for
      tankless water heater, you should have a plumber check the gas line to make
      sure the gas line and pressure are adequate or the whole house, a tankless
      water heater may use more than 5 times the amount of gas than a regular
      tank water heater, if the sizing of the gas line is not adequate it may
      create problems

      The pressure rating is based on temperature: -20 - 150 °F = 300 psi; 200 °F = 265 psi; 250 °F = 225 psi; 300 °F = 185 psi; 350 - 365 °F = 150 psi.
