1/2" Sweat Tempering Valve (120° -160°)

Series 70A, L70A Hot Water Extender Tempering Valves are used in residential water supply applications to mix cold and hot water to extend capacity of water heater storage tanks and hot water boiler tankless heaters. It features brass body construction, dial adjustment cap, replaceable thermostat, stainless steel spring and is available with either threaded or solder end connections.
Series 70A temperature range: 120+F to 160+F.
Series L70A temperature range: 100+F to 130+F.
Maximum Pressure: 150psi (10 bar).
Size Range: 1/2 to 3/4 in. (15 to 20mm)

                                It does what it says however it also restricts the water flow enough to notice the drop in presure when showering. I recomend using a 3/4" sweat tempering valve and reducing it down to match the 1/2" copper.

                                            i only needed the themostat part so i just unscrewed the controlvalve with the thermostat and switched it with the on on my boiler it fit and worked perfectly it took 5 min to do.

                                                It's possible that this is the issue. Watts offers a repair kit (part 0869100) that includes a replacement o-ring, spring, and thermostat.

                                              Having problems with cold water form faucets being hot in the morning. Have to let them run for some time to get cold water.
