3/4" Sweat Tempering Valve (120° -160°)

Series 70A, L70A Hot Water Extender Tempering Valves are used in residential water supply applications to mix cold and hot water to extend capacity of water heater storage tanks and hot water boiler tankless heaters. It features brass body construction, dial adjustment cap, replaceable thermostat, stainless steel spring and is available with either threaded or solder end connections.
Series 70A temperature range: 120+F to 160+F.
Series L70A temperature range: 100+F to 130+F.
Maximum Pressure: 150psi (10 bar).
Size Range: 1/2 to 3/4 in. (15 to 20mm)

                    Even at the highest setting, the outlet temperature was too cold for a shower. I'd send it back but it's such a pain to sweat it out and install another. I ended up modifying the internals in order to get a barely tolerable output.

                                This was used on the water return line (into the house) for a Solar Water Heater install. The Solar Collector returns heated water around 160 degrees here in florida. This allowed me to cool the water down to around 140 degrees before. Which in turn keeps scalding water from entering the house. A great safety feature. Pex Supply was 60% less than my local supplier.
