Had intermitent lockouts on our 17yr old HEII. It would reset by turning it off, and pushing on the connectors for the pressure switch and ignitor. When I pulled the control board, the circut was damaged - probably by moisture. The new Gold conversion board was a direct replacement. 15 minutes and we were back up and running. No problems since.

Slightly different layout appearance, but old wiring receptacles plug right in...takes about 10 minutes to swap the old and new units. I was able to get my old unit to work while waiting for the new control unit by soldering fan motor connections on the board, but wanted the reliability of the new control unit. (New unit arrived in one day after my order... good job, PEX!) My HE II was new in 1992, so I can't really complain about needing to replace this unit.

I replaced the old malfunctioning module with this new one and the boiler system is working great. My only disappointment was the product was shipped C.O.D. and I didn't know that before hand or I could have made proper payment arrangements before the product arrived. At the end of the day, all is good.

My only complaint was I wish I knew UPS was looking for cod payment. If I would've knew when ordering, I could have made arrangements to have a check or credit card info available for the driver, otherwise, I would recommend this product and company

The instructions for GV 4 owners that came with the new module said to "discard wire harness assembly with plastic bag attached" referring to the new wire harness that came with the new module. I did this and installed the new module using the old original wire harness (which didn't seem to plug into the new module properly) and the circuit breaker blew.

Once I plugged in the new Molex plug (that was in the plastic bag attached to the new harness that the instructions said to discard) everything started working fine. This Molex plug, I guess, is a 47K resistor that plugs into the module circuit board next to a two pole receptacle marked P8.
