Description for White Rodgers 50A55-843

The 50A55-843 Universal Silicon Carbide Integrated Ignition module employs a microprocessor which continually monitors, analyzes and controls the proper operation of the gas burner, inducer and fan. The Universal Module includes an extensive cross-reference, additional jumper wires, an additional wiring harness and a jumper for Trane applications. The module also has terminals for powering a humidifier and electronic air cleaner.

Thanks PexSupply for helping with my problem. I ordered A computer board for my amana heater and it worked flawlessly. The diagnostic flasher told me the limit switch was open and I reset it. This obiously happened from the old computer burning out. After that the joy of seeing the ignitors turn bright orange and then the jet flames fired! Wow, this heater was out all last winter and now I don't have to rely solely on my woodstove. The most satisfaction came from serviceing this heater all by myself with out paying an hvac tech some high price. I can't thank this company enough for the good [...]product.

The original unit specified for the Trane would have cost another $150 for more limited functionality. The controller works great. I told my AC guy and he said it was a great tip.

I bought this as a replacement for the original unit earlier this year. It wasn't an exact fit (I had to drill 2 new holes). Other than that, it was an easy replacement. It's been working flawless ever since.
