Description for Uponor (Wirsbo) LF4575050

The ProPEX® Lead-free Brass Female Threaded Adapter connects Uponor PEX tubing to female NPT threads. Use these fittings in hot and cold domestic potable water systems or in any radiant heating system. One end of the adapter is manufactured with the Uponor ProPEX Fitting for connections to hePEX plus tubing or AquaPEX® tubing and the other end is for copper connections.

Uponor's lead-free brass transition fittings, valves and wall boxes carry the NSF us-pw-G marking for lead-free compliance to meet state lead-free legislation, and exceed the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. Now you can combine lead-free brass fittings with Uponor's PEX tubing, EP offering and ProPEX Out-of-the-Wall Support System for a complete lead-free solution from the inlet to the faucet. The new lead-free offerings feature Uponor's unique ProPEX fitting system for strong, durable connections without the need for torches, glues, solvents or gauges.

          How is this adaptor secured so the sillcock can be removed later? Or do you need to cut into its location to hold it while the sillcock is removed?

            You will want to leave some slack in the PEX so you can pull the sillcock out of the wall to remove it from the female fitting.

            This fitting will work with a hose bib that is 3/4" NPT. Generally, hose bibs are either 1/2" or 3/4", so start by verifying which size you have and then select the appropriate fitting.
