Heatguard valves deliver water at a safe 120F (49C) or lower from all outlets, while allowing the heater to be set at a germ-killing 140F (60C) or higher which aids in preventing the growth of Legionella bacteria in the water heater. Every valve is tested for performance and includes a unique adjuster tool that minimizes tampering with the valve setting.
