Thermostats are the communication point between an end user and their
heating system. A thermostat allows a user to set desired temperatures
and can ultimately allow very complex control of a heating system.
PexSupply.com sells thermostats from Honeywell, Wirsbo, Tekmar, White
Rodgers, Robertshaw, and Lux.
Thermostats may be broken down into several different classifications.
There are several ways to categorize thermostats; these include programmable
vs. non-programmable, digital vs. programmable, and heat only vs. heat cool.
Each thermostat may then vary by temperature range, the degree to which it
may be programmed, wiring, remote sensor adaptability, and more. In the
coming weeks we will expand on this section of the learning center as we
add product selection features as well as more detailed information.
Thermostat Stages
Thermostat stages refer to the number of heat/cool sources that a thermostat can control. For example 1 Heat/1 Cool
or 1H/1C means that the thermostat can control 1 heat source and 1 cooling source. In areas with extreme weather or
where multiple sources of heating and cooling are present, multi-stage thermostats are required.
